After free rations in Uttar Pradesh, Yogi government prepares to provide free meals

Lucknow: The Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government, which prolonged its free ration plan on the first cupboard assembly after the second time period, has now arrange group kitchens throughout the state to provide free or excessive subsidy meals to the poor and the disadvantaged.

The Uttar Pradesh government has been distributing free rations to 15 crore beneficiaries each month since 2020. Under this scheme, beneficiaries might be provided a pack of 1kg complete chaana, 1 liter baking oil, 1kg salt plus 5kg wheat and rice.

According to official sources, the Yogi government is making ready to arrange group kitchens in city and rural areas to provide free or low-cost meals to the poor.

A high-level assembly of all departments might be held this week, with particulars of the way to begin the mission and totally different departments might have totally different roles in working group kitchens, sources mentioned.
