Continuous rise in fuel costs: rallies, protests nationwide by Congress leaders

New Delhi: Congress MPs held a rally in entrance of Delhi’s Vijay Chowk led by Rahul Gandhi, condemning the hike in fuel and cooking fuel costs.

Members of the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha held posters and shouted slogans in opposition to the central authorities. Several leaders together with Lok Sabha chief Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary and Rajya Sabha opposition chief Mallikarjun Kharge have participated.

Congress will maintain week-long protests in opposition to inflation, together with fuel and cooking fuel. Petrol and diesel costs have gone up by 80 paise per liter at present and have elevated by Rs 6.40 per liter in the final 10 days. Fuel costs differ from state to state relying on native taxes.

Four-and-a-half months later, March 22, fuel costs have risen 9 instances in a row.

Speaking on the event, MP Rahul Gandhi at present held a rally condemning the hike in cooking fuel and fuel costs in each district and block stage in each state, together with Congress Delhi. Congress leaders will proceed to carry the federal government until the value hike is reduce, he mentioned.
