Indigo flight lands in Indore due to medical emergency; Passenger death

Indore: A senior official mentioned on Saturday that the flight was diverted to the Indore airport and made an emergency touchdown after the well being of an individual touring in the Indigo flight from Madurai to Delhi deteriorated.

After the flight landed at Devi Ahalyabai Holkar International Airport this night, the 60-year-old passenger was taken to a hospital close to the airport the place docs declared him introduced useless, they mentioned.

“According to preliminary information, Atul Gupta (60), who was on board Indigo Airlines flight 6E-2088, was bleeding from the mouth and his health condition was critical midway through the journey,” airport in-charge director Prabodh Chandra Sharma advised PTI.

The Madurai-Delhi flight was diverted to Indore due to a medical emergency and landed on the native airport round 5:30 pm, he mentioned.

Gupta was taken to the hospital from the airport and in accordance to docs, he was already affected by coronary heart illness, hypertension and diabetes, Sharma mentioned.

Later, the flight left for Delhi at 6:40 pm, he mentioned.
