Property confiscation of the company owned by the brother-in-law of the Maharashtra CM from the ED,

Property confiscation of the company owned by the brother-in-law of the Maharashtra CM from the ED, The Directorate of Enforcement (ED) on Tuesday mentioned it has confiscated property price Rs 6.45 crore belonging to a company owned by Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s brother-in-law in reference to the probe into the cash laundering case.

According to the announcement, the Enforcement Directorate has ordered the confiscation of 11 residential flats in the Nilambari venture of Shri Sai Baba Home Builders Pvt Ltd in Thane, Mumbai, below the Money Laundering Transfer Act (PMLA).

The ED mentioned that Thakre’s spouse, Rashmi’s brother, Sridhar Madhav Patankar, was the “owner” of Shri Sai Baba Home Builders Pvt.

The ED alleges that the cash leaked in the cash laundering case that’s being investigated towards a company named Pushpak Bullion has been “used” in the actual property initiatives of Mr Sai Baba Home Builders Pvt.
