Ingredients for Soya Chunks Pulao Recipe

  • Basmati Rice – 1 cup ( I used regular cooking rice )
  • Soya Chunks – 1 cup cooked (Refer Here for Recipe)
  • Onions – 1 giant sliced thinly
  • Green Chillies – 4 to five slit lengthwise
  • Peas – 1 cup Optional ( I used frozen )
  • Ginger Garlic Paste – 1.5 tbsp
  • Garam Masala Powder – 1 tbsp
  • Salt to style
  • Water – 1.5 cup
  • Oil – 1 tbsp
  • Ghee – 1 tbsp
Whole Spices:
  • Cinnamon / Pattai – 4 cm stick
  • Fennel Seeds / Sombu / Saunf – 2 tsp
  • Cumin Seeds / Jeerakam – 1 tsp (I used Shahi Jeera)
  • Cloves / Krambu – 4 piece
  • Star Anise / Natchathira Sombu – 1
  • Kal Paasi / Black Stone Flower – 2 piece

How to make Soya Chunks Pulao

  1. Wash and Soak Basmati Rice for 30 minutes. Cook Soya Chunks as per this route and put aside.
  2. Heat Oil and Ghee in a stress cooker.
  3. Add in all entire spices and allow them to sizzle for a min. Add in sliced onions and inexperienced chillies. Sprinkle some salt and cook dinner the onions until it turns golden.
  4. Now add in ginger and garlic paste and saute for a min.
  5. Add in peas, garam masala powder and soya chunks. Toss properly.
  6. Add in soaked rice and blend properly within the masala.
  7. Pour in water and blend properly. Bring this entire factor to a boil, simmer and cook dinner for 1 whistle, simmer the flame and let it cook dinner on a really low warmth for 7 to eight min. Switch off the warmth and allow them to steam go all by itself. Open the cooker and fluff the rice.
  8. Serve it along with your favourite curry.
